About Our College
St. Joseph’s College is the co-educational institution located in Torpa, the head quarter of Torpa community developed block, at the distance of 75 km. from Ranchi the capital of Jharkhand. The college came into existence out of the education vision of the most Rev. Dr. Joseph Minj an educationalist in 1980. The Motto of the college, “Let Your Light Shine” DEEP JALEY, the light of the knowledge aims at this synthesis and the harmony of the spiritual and the physical, the mind and the body. An eco-friendly college campus for acquisition, promotion and dissemination of knowledge is made available here with the aspiration of growing into an academic brotherhood joining hands for the development of the humanity at large.

Applicants will arrange for the required certificates: (Marks Sheet, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate & Residential Certificate).
Co-curricular Activities
All activities athletic, cultural and social which may be directly or indirectly identified with the college are subject to the explicit and definite approval of the Principal of the college. (Games- Hockey, football, Volleyball, Cultural Programmes and other activities)
Students are encouraged to participate actively in programmes and functions conducted by the college activities which will contribute much towards the all round development of a student.
All Past Pupils of St. Joseph’s College, Torpa are request to join the college alumni in order to refresh and enrich the golden memories College life. The College celebrates every year the Past Pupils Day (Alumni’s Day) before Christmas holiday, where we invite the past Pupils of the College to celebrate their achievements and motivate the younger generation of the College.
